Easy polymer clay ideas: how to make 2 projects

Polymer clay is a great way to create your very own decorations, jewellery, keyrings and more! This type of clay involves baking in the oven and there are multiple polymer clay brands out there to use!

Today I am using the clay range from Sostrene and Greene. It is one of my favourite shops and I was very surprised how well the clay was mouldable to what I needed.

I have created multiple projects from two different designs I am going to show you how to make. They are really easy and look gorgeous!

The first is a Ciao sign like the below:

And the second project are floral hearts:

See here How to create your own polymer clay ciao sign:

Material Needed:

Grey clay, pink clay, something to roll the clay out (rolling pin or paint brush), craft knife, oven

Instructions:

First, take the grey clay and begin to roll it out.

If you are like me and don’t have a rolling pin then use a paintbrush! Roll out until the clay is thin and even.

Use a craft knife and cut out a rectangle.

Next take a pink piece of clay and roll between your hands into a long thin spaghetti. Then carefully place it onto the grey square guiding it to write Ciao.

Bake in the oven as per your clay brands guidance.

Next up is the floral heart polymer clay tutorial:

Material Needed:

Grey clay, pink clay, green clay something to roll the clay out (rolling pin or paint brush), craft knife, cookie cutter, oven

Instructions:

First, take the grey clay and begin to roll it out. If you are like me and don’t have a rolling pin then use a paintbrush! Roll out until the clay is thin and even.

Next take a pink piece of clay and do the same. Cut 5 thin strands of the pink clay and pinch together to form a flower.

Roll the green clay out and using a craft knife, cut out leaves. Score the centre or the leaves. Roll some green clay between your hands to create a thin spaghetti. Position flowers and leaves on the grey clay and weave the green spaghetti around the other shapes.

Use a heart cookie cutter to cut out.

Bake in oven using information provided by your brand of polymer clay.

Easy to make and perfect for beginners to create your own personalised and beautiful projects.
