Spots for basket These will be seen on with a needle once made. For this reason, make sure you leave a long tail. You will see these do not all have rows as some are too small or do specific stitches mentioned to create the shape.
The following were done in black yarn.
Small Circle
ML
Row 1. SC 6 and pull tail to form circle (6)
FO and leave long tail for sewing

Large Circle
ML
Row 1. SC 6 and pull tail to form circle (6)
Row 2. Inc in each stitch (12)
FO and leave long tail for sewing

Shape 1 – C Shape Slip knot CH 10 SC into the second chain from hook SC 9 FO, leave tail for sewing

Shape 2 - Tear drop shape
ML
Row 1. SC 8
Row 2. SC 2, DC 2
FO leave tail for sewing

Shape 3 – Warped heart shape Slip knot Ch 8, SC in 2nd chain from hook, DC 2, TC 3, DC Ch 1 SC into the the last crochet stitch (closest one to hook) DC, SC FO, leave long tail for sewing

Once you have enough of each spots secure with a needle. Ensure there is enough space between and ensure you are changing the shapes and positioning frequently. I weaved the tails into the inside of the basket to ensure there are no loose threads on the inside of my basket. You may be able to see the black yarn on the inside but that’s okay!
